Due to our continued growth and exciting product-led agenda, a highly varied new opportunity now exists for an experienced Events Manager to join our client; a leading supplier of textile accessory brands to the business-to-business personalisation industry.
As the home of four leading textile brands, each with their own unique identity and philosophy, our client has established itself as the go-to brand for quality, innovative products in the rebrandable accessories market.
The successful applicant will draw upon their previous experience within a similar senior event management role to embody and promote the core values of our client’s ethos: Passionate, Progressive, Proud, and Together, in all dealings both externally and internally.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience, over several years, managing events and shows in a B2B industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Be accountable for the successful delivery of all company Trade Show and Roadshow events.
2. Coordinate internal events such as quarterly meetings and social events.
3. Produce detailed proposals for events, including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets.
4. Research venues, suppliers, and contractors; negotiate prices, space, and hire agreements.
5. Manage and coordinate event logistics, including venues, staff accommodations, travel, and third-party hosts.
6. Serve as the main contact for third-party contractors involved in event delivery.
7. Coordinate with Commercial, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure readiness and sign-off on materials and stand designs.
8. Collaborate with Marketing to promote events and ensure brand guideline compliance.
9. Manage event budgets, monitor ROI, and report on performance metrics.
10. Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety requirements.
11. Oversee event build-up, sign-off, and dismantling, ensuring venue clearance.
12. Evaluate and improve third-party supplier performance and processes.
13. Assist in managing roadshows and developing in-store display solutions.
14. Conduct post-event evaluations to inform future planning.
15. Travel within the UK and EU for event attendance as required.
Skills & Experience
* At least 5 years of experience in event management, including trade shows.
* Legal right to work in the UK and travel within the EU without restrictions.
* Proactive, customer-focused attitude.
* Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Strong initiative, self-motivation, and progressive mindset.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven team player with a vibrant, passionate approach.
* Questioning outlook and continuous improvement mindset.
* Knowledge of a second European language is a plus.
