MRF Site Supervisor – Waste and Recycling

ROLE: MRF Site Supervisor – Waste and Recycling
As site supervisor, you will oversee a waste recycling facility (MRF), handling plastics, paper, and metals while ensuring KPIs are met and safety, ISO standards, environmental, and company policies are adhered to.
You will develop the team to deliver effective processing and output within the operation and ensure that staffing levels are controlled and performance levels are kept to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include organizing the cleaning and maintenance of the MRF. A hands-on approach is needed for this growing company, and you will be the main key holder, responding to any out-of-hours emergencies.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. 1-year minimum site supervisor experience; waste management or recycling experience is not essential.
2. You will have been a Site Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or Yard Foreman.
3. Forklift licence / mobile plant experience would be beneficial.
4. IOSH or COTC and First Aid qualification would be desirable (training will be given for the right person to obtain these).
Previous job titles: Plant Supervisor, Yard Manager, Site Supervisor, MRF Supervisor, Waste Management Supervisor, Site Supervisor Waste and Recycling, MRF Manager.
Experience in a similar role in the following sectors would be ideal: Processing of Bulky Plastics, Production, MRF, RDF, Metals, Packaging, Paper, Wood, Glass, Manufacturing, Waste Management including hazardous, confidential, construction & demolition, Chemicals, Automotive, Food, Aggregates, Construction, Mining, Quarrying, and Shredding.
