Summary of Responsibility:
The CNC Machine Installation Technician will be mechanically inclined and have some knowledge of electrical theory and the associated principles.
What You Will Contribute:
1. Traveling to customer sites to install all our product machine types and related equipment.
2. Applying machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to optimally complete machine installation.
3. Ensuring accurate documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer regarding issues and machine status.
4. Testing all machine functions and installed options to complete the installation.
5. Willing to accept training to maintain an in-depth knowledge of machine tool product lines represented by the company.
6. The Robert E. Morris Company will provide all training vital to be proficient.

Qualifications & Competencies:
1. Proficient verbal and written communication and customer relation skills.
2. Able to interact and effectively communicate in person and over the phone with customers and co-workers.
3. Present a professional image.
4. Must be adaptable to changes and able to deal with change, delays, or general work-related issues.
5. Basic digital literacy and shown understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
6. Must have, and/or be willing/capable of being trained to develop, electro-mechanical skills (motors, drives, transformers, etc.).
7. Knowledge of machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance & repair and/or a broad shop background is a plus.
8. Basic mechanical and logical solving skills are a must.
9. Rational decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience – one or more of the below:
1. Experience as a co-op, or full/part-time job in a manufacturing facility.
2. Experience with industrial equipment repair.
3. Relevant knowledge of a specialized field such as machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance & repair and/or a broad shop background equivalent to a complete, accredited apprenticeship training.
4. Two (2) year technical degree (Electrical/Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical/Automation) and/or 1 year of experience in a related field.
Work Environment:
1. Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated or manual machinery.

4. Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.
5. Ability to frequently use hands and arms.
6. Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
7. Ability to keep their composure with the public and co-workers in everyday, stressful situations.
