Senior Security Officer – Supervisor/ Shift Lead Full & Part Time Opportunities available Permanent (40 hours per week) Salary Circa £38000 plus shift allowances Location: Middlesex Shift work – This is a 24/7 Operation. A range of 3 shifts; Early’s, Days, Nights will need to be covered on a rotational basis. Here at Serco, we are currently we’re looking for Senior Security Officers to act as Shift Lead supervising a team for a high-profile Defence customer contract. Main responsibilities of the role include: Supervise areas under your control to ensure delivery of effective, efficient, “right first time every time” output to our customers that follows the Serco values and behaviours. First line management responsibility of all security personnel on duty in line with the Serco values and behaviours. Ensure the duty shift is manned correctly, this includes arranging cover for absence due to sickness or holiday. Act as the immediate escalation focal point for any customer concerns, dealing with these concerns in a swift and professional manner, engaging with the Site Lead as appropriate. Provide welcoming service ascertaining the requirements of individual visitors, contractors or deliveries and provision of relevant ID. Control the access and egress of vehicle traffic, visitors, contractors and Unit employees at the main gate; Checking ID cards and vehicle permits. Assist in the search of vehicles, visitors and baggage when delegated. Conduct in-vehicle roving patrol duties As a CCTV monitor, you perform the following functions: watch multiple screens in a control centre to monitor people in various locations. focus on identifying suspicious behaviour. Respond to and carry out emergency procedures as and when delegated. What you’ll need to do the role: Firstly, and foremostly you will have significant experience in leading teams to deliver excellence. You must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge, background and satisfactory experience related to the security industry This role requires individuals who are honest, reliable, confident with a strong sense of pride in their work. You will be physically fit and be able to use your own initiative to assess situations and respond appropriately, always remaining calm. You will have excellent customer service and communication skills and a keen interest in public safety and security. You will need to hold a full UK Driving License for car (essential) with no more than 6 points. Candidates who currently hold UKSV security clearance will be treated as priority in our selection process. (It will be mandatory to achieve this clearance if not already held.) An SIA license is highly desirable however we can provide full Security Industries Authority (SIA) licencing training.
