Job Description
The key responsibilities of a Payroll Assistant includes:
* Managing and processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant payroll legislation and company policies.
* Reconciling payroll discrepancies and resolving any payroll related issues.
* Maintaining employee payroll records and updating employee payroll information as needed.
* Coordinating with the HR team to verify staff absences and update payroll records.
* Preparing and submitting documents for tax and other deductions.
* Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Assistant should have:
* Previous experience working in a Payroll environment ideally in-house.
* Proficient understanding of payroll software systems.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Good understanding of taxation and other payroll related legislation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
