Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant

A secondary school in Preston are looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience, following the Christmas break.
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will report directly to the SENCo as well as liaising with other staff members: Class Teachers, Senior Leadership, Pastoral Team, fellow Teaching Assistants, Head of Years etc. You will generally work closely with the Class Teachers, and support them daily with lessons and activities, as well as taking pupils outside of the classroom who require additional support to complete small group and 1:1 intervention sessions.

* KS3/KS4 Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience
* Completing small group and 1:1/2:1 intervention with targeted pupils
* SEMH experience required
* Good behaviour and classroom management
* Reporting to the SENCo

The SENCo would like to hold interviews prior to the February half-term, and hopefully arrange an induction day before the post begins.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
