We require experienced Buyers / Senior Buyers to manage the workflow in our busy Procurement Team sourcing products, processes and services to support the business needs and to agreed deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the workflow in the Procurement Team.
2. Source products, processes, and services to meet business needs.
3. Organise internal stock transfers where sub-con processes are incurred.
4. Participate in health and safety audits and report any perceived risks or breaches.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing team within an engineering environment.
2. A good understanding of engineering terms and processes.
3. An ability to read and translate a technical engineering drawing and the associated processes.
4. The ability to understand a commercial contract and negotiate salient points.
5. Good educational standard in Maths and English.
6. A good level of IT literacy (training will be given).
7. Experience working to AS9100 or ISO9001 standards.
8. Strong communication skills in verbal and written formats.
