Consultant Cardiology - Intervention - Eastbourne
There is a primary angioplasty rota which is currently supported by six interventional cardiologists. There will be CCU ward rounds and outpatient clinics within this role.

The applicant should be a holder of Certificate of Completion of Training or be within six months of the award of CCT by the date of the interview or the equivalent (CESR) which is at the time of applying, on the GMC Specialist Register.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MB BS or equivalent
* Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians
* Full Registration with GMC
* MD or equivalent
Training
* Wide experience in all aspects of Cardiology, with a specialist interest culminating in the award of a CCT
* Training in coronary intervention
* Training/experience in complex coronary intervention (CTO or Rotablation)
* Experience in other relevant medical specialities
Management
* Evidence of participation in management
* Understanding of recent initiatives and changes, including Clinical Governance and Appraisal
* Management course and/or qualifications
* Knowledge of the structure of Health Service
Audit/Research
* Thorough understanding of principles of medical audit
* Understanding of the role of research
* Completion and/or publication of audit projects
* Experience of clinical research culminating in the presentation and publication of original studies, review articles, etc., relevant to specialty
* Ability to lead clinical research projects

£105,504 to £139,882 per annum - based on full time.
