We are looking for a well-qualified colleague to join our ambitious and highly skilled PE department as Director of Sport. You will need to have the knowledge, skills and creativity to lead a talented and committed team of subject leads within the PE faculty.
The Director of Sport will oversee a high-performance sporting programme which ensures that our students achieve their maximum potential. They will play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of development with our new sports facilities which will elevate our sports programmes, offering our students and the community first-rate resources to train, compete and stay active.

The successful candidate will work across Stoke Damerel Community College and Scott Medical & Healthcare College. No additional travel is required as the sites are next door to each other.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Development and implementation of a World Class Curriculum.
2. Stay up to date with local and national progress within PE Education and Sport.
3. Development of community provision, supporting promotion of healthy lifestyles.
4. Working with the Community Leisure Manager to develop a community strategy to maximise use of facilities.
5. Link with external partners to develop an enriched offer, to include an Elite Sports Academy Programme / Pathway.
6. Explore a model of delivery and support across the primary network.
7. Academic outcomes at KS4 and KS5.
8. Leading raising standards within the subject through quality assurance of teaching, learning and assessment.
9. Planning an Elite Sports Academy Programme.
10. Lead a collaborative team across the campus.
11. Line management of subject leads and post holders within the PE faculty.
