Bawso is the lead organisation in Wales providing practical and emotional support to black minority ethnic (BME) and migrant victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking, Female Genital Mutilation and forced marriage.
We are seeking to appoint for the following position:
Advice Worker
Location: Swansea
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,300 pro rata per annum
Contract: Fixed Term up to 31st March 2025
We are looking for a dedicated Violence Against Women Advice Worker to support women and girls across South West, East, and Mid Wales affected by domestic abuse, FGM, forced marriage, and honour-based violence.
About the Role:
* Provide tailored advice and support through face-to-face, telephone, and outreach services.
* Conduct risk and safety assessments, including DASH.
* Assist with practical needs like housing, welfare, and advocacy.
* Collaborate with agencies to safeguard and empower clients.
* Raise awareness and challenge harmful practices within communities.
