At Veolia Water Technologies (VWT) UK, we are committed to ensure you have the best experience possible and take your career to the next level Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Supporting Sales, Marketing and Tendering departments with regards to pre-qualification, proposals and post tender submissions such as technical presentations. Ensuring that available standard technical information, documentation details and drawings are used to design; consider feedback of previous contractors (e.g. information available from commissioning). Preparation and validation (internal or via VWT) of controlled process design documentation (e.g. Process Flow Diagrams, P&ID diagrams, process control philosophy) in compliance with relevant design standards, statutory obligations and regulations. Supporting commissioning and service teams with regards to optimising plants and resolving process issues. Supervising Design Engineers, Group Leaders and CAD Designers during proposal design period and ensuring that programmed and design requirements are achieved. Ensuring that the products and system design will not give rise to harm when operated within the recommended parameters. Key areas of responsibility include: Ensuring that any products or systems are safe in use. Ensuring that the products or systems designed meet current Health and Safety legislation in all markets in which the product or system is to be sold That adequate information is provided describing the correct safe operation of the product or system, highlighting any risks associated with its operation or maintenance. Where appropriate to provide documented design risk assessments to demonstrate that any risks arising in the implementation of a system have been identified and addressed. General requirements for the role: Degree in Chemical/Waste Water Engineering, with 5 years of practical knowledge gained through similar experience (MSc in Wastewater Treatment will be considered as an advantage). Self-motivated & professional. Ability to be persistent and answer objections. Natural ability to connect with people via phone / video conferencing / face to face. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Good research skills and the ability to translate information into resonating statements. Ability to deliver accurate high quality work to tight deadlines. Ability to manage multiple enquiries and proposals. PC / IT literate - preferably Google Suite. Experience in Wastewater Treatment, ideally in Industrial Wastewater and Process Water applications. Strong commissioning capabilities and prior hand on experience is required. Experience with cloud based process control and monitoring platforms will be considered as an advantage. Contractually aware and good business acumen. What’s next?
