The Role:
The Cyber Security Lead will oversee the deployment and management of Cyber Security activities across Saab UK operations, working closely with business units, group security, and the group IT operations in Sweden. The role ensures compliance with customer and group security standards.
The role involves collaboration with UK Security and Group IT and Security teams to ensure compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, and UK customer security requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Safeguard Saab UK networks and information systems by identifying and resolving security issues.
* Implement and manage access privileges, control structures, and resources to protect systems.
* Identify problems by recognizing abnormalities and reporting violations.
* Report on emerging threats in coordination with the Group IT Security team.
* Assess current security situations, evaluate trends, and anticipate requirements to improve security measures.
* Conduct audits to identify IT process violations and inefficiencies.
* Upgrade systems by implementing and maintaining security controls.
* Inform users through performance reports and system status updates.
* Maintain quality service following Saab Group IT standards.
* Attend educational workshops and review publications to maintain technical knowledge.
* Manage systems accreditation for internal and external teams.
* Lead the IT Security Incident response process.

Experience and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
* At least 4 years of relevant experience
* Advanced certifications in Security Standards
* Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and security elements
* Experience analyzing logs, network data, and attack artifacts for incident investigations
* Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions
* Knowledge of enterprise SIEM platforms (e.g., Sentinel, Nitro, ArcSight, QRadar, Splunk)
* Understanding of mobile technology, OS (Android, iOS, Windows), and Cloud Security principles
