About the Role:
As a Senior Research Infrastructure Developer, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and automation of HPC systems and data infrastructures. Working closely with researchers, you will provide tailored, scalable, and sustainable solutions to support data-intensive projects, ensuring the smooth operation and continual enhancement of research platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and automate HPC infrastructures, ensuring they meet the needs of high-performance and high-throughput research.
* Support and maintain HPC systems, data management tools, and related services.
* Collaborate with researchers to provide bespoke technical solutions, ensuring their research vision is supported.
* Lead the implementation of best practices in HPC and research infrastructure, contributing to the field through innovation and leadership.
* Participate in training, teaching, and dissemination of research findings.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
* PhD or equivalent professional expertise in a relevant field.
* Practical knowledge of HPC cluster management, parallel file systems, and job schedulers.
* Experience with Linux, automation (e.g., Python, Ansible), and supporting research software or data management systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record in delivering complex technical projects.
