IT Services organisation is hiring for a 2nd Line System Support Specialist to join their team in Bracknell. This role requires 5 days onsite, and the salary ranges between £28K - £35K + Bonus + Benefits. SC Clearance is required for this role and due to the nature of the projects, you will need to be a Sole British citizen to be eligible for this.
As a 2nd Line System Specialist, you'll be responsible for handling and resolving technical escalations raised via the Service Desk. Working within a small but skilled team, you'll provide 1st and 2nd line support, escalating to 3rd line when required, and continuously monitor live events to ensure a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and resolve escalated technical incidents and service requests
2. Monitor live environments and respond to issues in real time
3. Collaborate with 1st line and 3rd line teams to ensure smooth resolution paths
4. Deliver excellent customer support with a professional and proactive approach
Skills Required:
1. Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support role
2. Strong knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems
3. Hands-on experience with ITSM tools including SCSM, SCCM, and SCOM
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2016
5. Experience working with VMware desktop and server solutions
6. Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
