The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their client who is a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Andover.
Overview of the Role

Responsibilities
* Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company
* Lead the manufacturing engineering and build teams to design, implement, and improve production processes
* Work on Manufacturing and building a wide range of cars - (classic, current and race)
* Develop and execute strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
* Oversee the design, development, and deployment of tools, fixtures, and equipment
* Collaborate with product design and production teams to ensure manufacturing ability of new and existing products
* Analyse production data to identify and address inefficiencies and bottlenecks
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
* Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering staff, fostering professional growth and skill development
Essential Skills
* Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering management position or similar, preferably in automotive or related industries
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
* Experience with BOM’s and Change Management processes
* An understanding of industry and regulatory requirements such Quality System Regulations (IATF16949, ISO9001, 5S, TPM, KPI’s)
* Experience of working on Race Cars, Restomods and OEM vehicles from the ground up
* Strong leadership and team management capabilities
* Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
* Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
* Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/ provided.
Desirable Skills
* Working knowledge of GD&T and DFMEA process
* Experience of Body in White and working with carbon fibre, competency in CAD design packages and CMM equipment.
