An outstanding Special School in Coventry is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. Your role will involve:
* Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
* Assisting in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
* Encouraging social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and engagement.
* Helping to create an accessible and stimulating classroom environment.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure student progress.
About You:
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who:
* Has previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with autism and complex needs.
* Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable to different learning styles.
* Can communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Holds (or is willing to work towards) relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
* Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
