Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Manager to join and lead our friendly team in Bridgwater. We are focused on providing outstanding care to children from 3 months old to 4 years of age. If you are looking to take the next step in your career, this role could be for you!
The setting is in a great location, offering some fantastic outdoor space with the added convenience of parking onsite. These modern and spacious facilities offer a friendly, safe, and comfortable environment for children to explore and have fun learning. We are passionate about providing babies, toddlers, and preschool children with the best start in their early years education and work diligently to ensure that this results in safe and happy children in our care.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
1. Management of the nursery and the overall care and education for the children in the setting.
2. Conducting meetings with staff members, and ensuring effective staff deployment.
3. Ensuring that the safeguarding and welfare of the children is always paramount in the nursery, ensuring overall compliance with statutory legislations and frameworks.
4. Assume responsibility for the daily operation of the nursery with agreed plans and budgets and that the nursery target occupancy levels are met.
5. Financial management with responsibilities for monitoring and reporting own budget, income expenditure, forecast budget, and occupancy.
6. Supporting the care and education of the children in the nursery within a key person structure, promoting good practice and being a role model for other staff and children.
Successful candidates will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in a full and relevant Early Years qualification. All staff receive a comprehensive induction and continuous professional development.
