Manufacturing Engineer, Poole, up to £45,000pa + benefits

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in optimising production processes, improving quality and efficiency throughout the manufacturing cycle. Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
* Oversee new product introduction, establishing efficient production methods and providing guidance to design and production teams.
* Implement structured problem-solving techniques to resolve production-related challenges.
* Assist with cost reduction initiatives and introduce innovative processes, techniques, and solutions.
* Train and mentor operators on production procedures and best practices.
* Prepare estimates and manage costs related to job functions.
* Cultivate strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external suppliers/customers.
* Actively participate in Health and Safety initiatives.
* Lead Root Cause Analysis efforts to identify and address underlying issues.
* Identify and implement advanced manufacturing techniques.
* Analyse and plan workflow, space utilisation, and equipment placement to optimise manufacturing efficiency.
* Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure production equipment remains operational.
* Provide Design for Manufacturing (DfM) advice to the Engineering team.
Background
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will:
* Be experienced with modern manufacturing processes, particularly assembly of electro-mechanical systems.
* Have experience with implementing Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
* Be able to demonstrate successful processes and quality improvements within a manufacturing environment.
* Have excellent communication skills with the ability to work alongside a range of disciplines and promote a positive team environment.
* Be highly organised, capable of managing concurrent and often competing priorities.
* Having knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks would be beneficial.
