Finance Manager
Location: Llandrindod Wells
Contract: £30.19 per hour PAYE
Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Manager with the following qualifications:
1. Significant relevant post qualification experience within a public sector financial environment.
2. Partnership working and a wider commissioning focus.
3. Track record in successfully delivering a customer-focused service.
4. Evidence of strong engagement in projects and delivery of strategic plans.
5. Success in using performance management techniques and can set attainable and motivational targets.
Knowledge:
1. Understanding of the mechanics and role of the Council and the wider public sector regime.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant accounting standards, principles, and codes of practice.
3. Sound awareness of key drivers that affect the public sector and how the finance function interlinks.
Qualifications and Training:
1. Full membership of a professional accounting body.
2. Undertaking relevant post qualification CPD training and setting continuous goals for self-development.

1. Ability to work to tight deadlines and respond creatively to complex and technically demanding challenges.
2. Able to work under pressure and motivate others to work quickly without undue stress, demonstrating duty of care to employees and individuals.
3. Self-aware and confident, with an understanding of one's strengths and limitations and clear on the impact of one's behaviors.
4. Confident in decision-making and assertive when ensuring stakeholders are engaged.
5. Evidence of using negotiating and influencing skills, while able to empathize and carefully deliver decisions and change behavior.
Key Responsibility: Lead and develop the delivery of improved finance business services to internal council customers, using business and emotional intelligence to support the council by influencing strategy and business outcomes.
Additional Information: 1 Day a Month on site, initial 12 weeks (Expected 9 Month Engagement).
