The Role
You will be a hands-on lead of a team of Software and Quality Assurance Engineers working across a variety of projects for both our clients and our internal professionals. You will be responsible both for the development and delivery of software solutions. Your team will work alongside a Product Owner who will help prioritise deliverables allowing you to focus on creating world-class solutions.
The role is based in Glasgow. We generally spend two days per week in the office.
Whilst there is no expectation of existing knowledge of tax, we would expect you to develop a degree of domain knowledge over time.

1. Deep Technical Expertise: Hands on experience designing, specifying and developing software
2. AI Knowledge: Ability to articulate clearly how generative AI can solve document management, workflow automation, and knowledge management challenges.
3. Proven Track Record: Experience leading and mentoring others
4. Programming Skills: Have heavily used modern object-oriented languages such has C# or Java
5. Enterprise Expertise : Expertise in software design patterns, clean code, and clean architecture principles & Knowledge of how to build REST APIs and have experience of messaging.
6. Data Modelling: Worked with defining data models and interacting with database
7. Proven Track Record: Built software that includes user facing web applications
8. Collaborative Approach: A passion to work in an Agile Team working collaboratively with others and adopt best practices
9. Continuous Delivery: Used source control and continuous integration tools as part of a team
10. Security Practices: An understanding of application security controls like SAST, DAST, Penetration Testing, etc.
11. Quality Focus: A DevSecOps mindset with focus on delivering value quickly and frequently

12. Cloud Experience: Experience building applications for the cloud such as Azure, AWS or GoogleExperience with Docker, Kubernetes or other serverless application delivery platforms
13. Continuous Delivery: Used GIT, Jenkins, GitHub or Azure DevOps
14. Proven Track Record: Worked with React, Angular, Blazor, ASP MVC or other modern web UI frameworks
15. Data Modelling: Used Entity Framework or other popular ORM toolsUsed NoSQL databases such as cosmos DB, Mongo or Cassandra
16. Enterprise Expertise: Experience with messaging such as Service Bus, MQ or Kafka
17. Data Analytics: Experience with Data Analytics and Business Intelligence

18. Deep Technical Expertise: Integrate emerging technologies like AI-driven development, Web Components, etc.
19. Proven Track Record: Provide mentoring to other developers within your team and across the wider team
20. Collaborative Approach: Work collaboratively in a LEAN Agile team using a Scaled SCRUM framework
21. Programming Skills: Develop web applications that use back end C#/ASP.NET CoreUse front end Typescript/React, ASP.NET MVC or C#/Blazor
22. Cloud Experience: Build cloud first applications with high unit test code coverage on a continuous delivery platform with 100% infrastructure as codePackage applications in containers and deploy on Azure Kubernetes Service
23. Data Modelling: Use entity framework code first data with Azure SQL or a NoSQL Databases
24. Enterprise Expertise: Build resilient Microservice integrated via a Cloud message bus
25. Security Practices: Comply with secure coding & infrastructure standards and policies
26. Continuous Delivery: Assist with supporting your application using modern DevSecOps tools
27. Quality Focus: Continuously improve your technical knowledge and share what you learn with othersSeek to build components that can be reusable by other teams
