As our team is expanding, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Milton Keynes team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. You’ll play a key role managing a team of Finance Associates, ensuring accounting ledgers are maintained appropriately in a timely manner to facilitate the reporting requirements. The difference you’ll make: Ensuring monthly and quarterly reporting is accurate and is delivered on time across the team Providing guidance and advice on accounting issues to the various stakeholders Performing required reconciliations on trial balance accounts for all entities under your responsibility to the stipulated deadlines and the resolution of arising differences Responding to queries from key stakeholder such as the client, internal/external audit and Group Reporting Ensuring up to date process documentation is in place for all key processes under your remit to ensure that there is a full audit trail and robust control infrastructure Streamlining processes and supporting a culture within the team of best practice sharing and leveraging of skills What you’ll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role: AAT or qualified by work experience in accountancy role Good experience of leading a small team, specifically in accounts payables Track record of improving processes and a desire to work in an environment of continuous improvement Great Excel skills and ideally experience of using general ledger and finance systems It would also be nice for you to have: A working knowledge of the Walker system and SAP is desirable Experience of delivering a high service standard to customers by organising the tasks to respond to client/customer feedback and facilitate improvement activities to continually raise standards Ability to work to tight deadlines and to work well under pressure A great understanding of accounting, and accounting processes What else you need to know: This 6-month Fixed Term role is based in Unity Place – Milton Keynes. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
