Reporting to the NAES Clinical Services Manager, duties will include: Providing specialist treatment to artificial eye patients in clinics located in Hospitals, GP surgeries, Primary Care settings or occasionally in their own homes covering the whole of England. Specifying, ordering, assessing, fitting, and adjusting artificial prostheses, and providing aftercare, to patients referred to our service by Consultant Ophthalmologists and other NHS colleagues. Successfully navigating the comprehensive in-house training which will be provided to the post holder. Therefore previous experience in this specific field is not essential. Undertaking ongoing in-service training and embracing, engaging with and supporting our research and development objectives. Therefore, the successful applicant should be motivated, keen to learn and ready to embrace change. Frequent travel and overnight stays as per service delivery needs, therefore a high level of flexibility and willingness to adapt is required.
