To provide general Administrive and reception support to the practice manager, doctors and health professionals with general clerical work over two sites. To include medical reports invoices etc and any other work allocated by Practice Manager.

You will work as part of a team providing front line administration services including sending referrals, processing solicitors/SAR/patient letters requests, as well as booking of outpatient and inpatient appointments and general office duties.
You will need to have good typing skills, able to formulate and use excel spreadsheets, word and outlook.
Experience of using Systm 1 would be an advantage but full training will be given if required.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be required to provide a comprehensive secretarial service relating to NHS work for a clinical team in the department in accordance with GP Surgery policies and procedures.
The Medical Secretary provides a link between the GP Surgery, the patient and other health care professionals. They will provide a comprehensive, efficient and responsive administration service.
The post holder will have an understanding of the service requirements, and an appreciation of the concerns and queries of patients and carers.
This post requires a self-motivated and professional individual with the confidence and ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team within standard operating procedures.

Dr Mirza & Partners inc branch surgery (Unit 14 Britannia 1RD) consists of a practice population of approx 6100. We have 3 GP Partners, two regular GP Locums and associated staff of Practice Nurses / HCA to provide medical services to our patients.

Job Summary: To provide administrative support and servicesto all members of the practice team at both sites. We use System One.
Job responsibilities:
Scanning hospital letters and all mail is scanned in, whenrequired.
Referralsvia e referrals system etc.
Stockordering via PCSE & L & D Hospital
Processingrepeat prescriptions and acute (checking emails for care home scriptsrequests), when required.
Holidaycover for reception staff at both sites (if required).
Alsosee note 1 below.
Any other duties allocated by the Practice Manager/GP`s.
Administrativesupport
Provideadministrative support to members of the primary health care team in thefollowing areas ensuring appropriate practice records are kept up to date
oProcessingreports, patient letter requests, SARs etc. use of IGPR.
oBillingand invoices (payable to the Practice) as for above.
oOrdersand payments (payable by the Practice) as for above.
oProcessAccuRx requests. System one messages.
oReferrals.

The responsibility for any action taken oroverlooked will rest with the Doctor. Any responsibility for an action requiredto be undertaken but has been overlooked will not rest with any staff member.
