YOUR ROLE Our UK & Ireland financial accounting team are responsible for maintaining the balance sheets for our legal entities, monthly group reporting and the preparation of financial statements for compliance purposes, as well as managing external audits and internal controls. The team have a rare opportunity for a meticulous and determined Finance Manager to join them. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity based out of our head office in Ashby de la Zouch. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? Reporting into the Head of Financial Accounting you will be responsible for: Preparing financial statements for a number of CEVA legal entities in accordance with FRS 101 or 102. Managing the external audit process, being the key contact and providing required information in a timely basis to ensure that filing deadlines are met. Establishing and reviewing internal controls, in particular ensuring there is a robust balance sheet reconciliation review process in place. Reconciling intercompany balances between UKI entities and other group entities and investigating and resolving mismatches. Assisting the tax team in collating information to prepare the CT600s. Assisting the tax team with VAT reconciliations. Ensuring that internal teams comply with all aspects of accounting control by adhering to CEVA Group policy. Assisting with due diligence and acquisition accounting. Assisting with complex technical accounting with regards to restructures. Assisting with the approval of payments where required. Being involved in other adhoc projects. Challenge and continually review processes, practices, and principles to ensure we are improving and implementing standards. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? This role requires someone who has significant audit experience, preferably in a Top 20 audit practice, as well as experience in preparing financial statements under FRS 101 & 102 using Excel and Word. You will be ACCA/ACA qualified and have proven experience in financial accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and a strong understanding of internal controls. It is crucial that you can make decisions and operate independently on multifaceted issues and business requirements. You will have a strong analytical skillset able to distil large amounts of complex data and present this into a reasonable and readable format, therefore experience of MS Excel and financial systems is required. You will be a natural communicator who can build strong working relationships, influence, motivate and lead others. It would also be desirable that you have worked within a large organisation with complex accounting processes and systems. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
