Job overview
We are looking for a full-time Senior Administrator to work within the Early Intervention team for the East and South of Birmingham. The successful candidate will provide administrative and secretarial support for the EI services within Forward Thinking Birmingham.
The post holder will be the first point of contact for those contacting the Service, including patients, professionals, and members of the public. Working in a busy office environment, the post holder should be able to act independently, using their own initiative. Opportunities exist for the post holder to make recommendations for service improvement by working alongside admin staff and attending administration meetings.
This is a key role supporting the effective running of the FTB Service. All applicants must demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, work well with others, and have a passion for providing a quality service with a track record of adding value to a workplace.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide comprehensive administrative and project support to the Early Intervention Teams based at Selly Oak and Washwood Heath.
2. Take direction from the Clinical Leads in the successful delivery of projects, work, and initiatives to support their roles.
3. Provide comprehensive support on all administrative duties determined by the above leads, including but not limited to organizing meetings, updating spreadsheets, and creating meeting agendas.
4. Provide wider administrative support to the departments, in collaboration with other administrative staff.

Qualifications/Experience
* Good standard of secondary education including GCE/GCSE English or equivalent.
* Extensive NHS experience, preferably in mental health.
* Experience of maintaining efficient office systems, including managing effective filing systems.
* Experience of managing databases and/or spreadsheets and accurately recording data.
* Experience of planning and organizing own workload and staff within own span of control.
* Experience of supporting a multi-disciplinary team.
* Ability to adapt easily to unplanned changes in operational requirements.
* Knowledge of NHS organizations.
* Understanding of confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
* Knowledge of secretarial or administrative procedures and systems.
* Knowledge and experience of software programs/packages and a full range of administrative functions and duties (including taking minutes and noting actions).
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
Skills & Abilities
* Excellent standard of typing/audio skills using word processor (50wpm).
* Working knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
