The Trust is seeking a qualified Joiner to join the Estates Maintenance Team working at our Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber sites. You will be part of a great team responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive maintenance and installation service across the Trust's estate. The post attracts a band 5 salary plus overtime, on-call allowance, and any call-out payments.

Applicants must hold NVQ level 3 qualifications and have undertaken an accredited apprenticeship in a joinery-related discipline. You will be carrying out maintenance and installation work across our Trust properties and working with a variety of our specialist contractors and engineers on different systems. Our aim is to provide our patients and staff with compliant, safe, and pleasant environments to work in. You will enjoy working with all our clinical staff, nurses, doctors, and corporate staff to support them in their work.
Main Duties of the Job
To carry out the repair, maintenance, or installation of all plant, equipment, systems, and building structure/fabric associated with all Trust properties. This will consist of planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), testing and calibration, fault finding, emergency response, defect correction, and minor works.
You will be employed to work appropriate to your core skills around building and engineering plant and equipment maintenance. You will progressively be trained, where required, to acquire other skills with the intention of reaching levels of multi-trade flexibility and competence. You will have some Competent Person duties for which training will be provided and will participate in the crafts persons on-call rota. You will work closely with the Senior Technicians to improve planned maintenance.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Other training related to healthcare engineering systems. Accredited HTM Competent Person course or appropriate M&E maintenance experience and willingness to undertake CP training as required.
Experience
* Able to demonstrate suitable post-apprenticeship experience in non-routine maintenance of complex engineering plant and equipment with a broad understanding of other trade disciplines.
* Experience of liaison with and supervising building and engineering contractors.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of the techniques and standards of building, mechanical, or electrical engineering services and contract procedures with a minimum of 4 years continuous, relevant experience.
Skills
* Able to read, understand, and analyse complex engineering systems and drawings.
* Ability to work under own initiative in a demand-driven service.
