Mirus Aircraft Seating seeks a seasoned Global Supply Chain Operations Director to lead our global purchasing function in a growing aerospace manufacturing facility. This executive-level role reports directly to the CEO, driving strategic business decisions.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced leader with a strong background in supply chain management, particularly within serial production line manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will have significant experience leading global supply chain teams, supporting growth-focused manufacturing businesses throughout their product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing cross-functional teams, and fostering positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
* Leading a global supply chain service to support front-line staff and drive business growth
* Developing and implementing a procurement strategy to optimize supply chain efficiency
* Managing a team of circa 15 people across Purchasing, Material Planning, Logistics, and Supplier Quality Assurance
The Global Supply Chain Operations Director will be responsible for:
1. Strategic Business Decision-Making: Reporting to the CEO, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategy
2. Supply Chain Leadership: Developing and implementing processes to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
3. Talent Management: Leading a high-performing team, ensuring effective succession planning, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
This role requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to constructively advocate for the department and influence others at all levels. The successful candidate will be results-driven, open-minded, and able to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* Significant experience in leading global supply chain teams, preferably within an aviation or OEM automotive manufacturing environment
* Proven track record of developing and implementing procurement strategies to drive business growth
* Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and fostering positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
* Results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to constructively advocate for the department and influence others at all levels
Salary Range: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Mirus Aircraft Seating, UK (Eligible to work in the UK)
