An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join The Countess of Chester Emergency Department. This post will require an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic leader with relevant Band 6 experience. The post holder will be expected to ensure the department is compliant with NHSE Emergency Medicine standards in order to provide safe and effective care to benefit our patients. We are looking for a visible leader who will empower and support their team to deliver best practice and high quality, safe and efficient care to our acutely unwell patients. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and professional advice to members of the multi-disciplinary team. They will also provide ongoing responsibility for the operational effectiveness of the Emergency Department. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of nursing and support staff on a shift basis. As well as being in charge of the department you will monitor quality, safety and high standards of patients care and ensure patient flow throughout the department.
