Boden Group is partnered with a specialist service provider within the Facilities Management sector who after successfully winning a new large contract, are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to bolster their commercial function.\n\nThe contract is based off of NEC4 and thus wants someone experienced across managing this.\n\nRole Overview:\n\n We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in NEC contracts to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing costs, contracts, and procurement processes on high-profile infrastructure and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in administering and managing NEC3 or NEC4 contracts within the construction or facilities management sector.\n \n Key Responsibilities:\n \nContract Administration: Manage and administer NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4), ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and procedures.
\nCost Management: Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring financial control throughout project lifecycles. \nProcurement & Tendering: Lead procurement activities, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and managing subcontractor agreements. \nChange Management: Assess and manage compensation events, variations, and claims in line with NEC contract requirements.
\nRisk & Value Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximizing project value. \nKey Performance Indicators : Assess and manage contractual KPI for compliance and any improvement. \nFinancial Reporting: Provide regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and contract summaries to stakeholders.
\nStakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth commercial delivery. \nDispute Resolution: Support and manage contractual disputes and claims as required. \n Skills & Experience Required:\n \nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction, infrastructure, or civil engineering sectors.
\nStrong knowledge and practical experience of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (e.g., ECC, PSC, TSC). \nExperience in contract negotiation, cost planning, and change management. \nProficiency in commercial software (e.g., CEMAR, Aconex, Causeway, or similar).
\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills. \nStrong communication and negotiation abilities. \nDegree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
\nRICS, ICES, or equivalent professional accreditation (preferred)
