Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, Bath & Wiltshire and Oxford & Berkshire. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel across all the region depending on the business needs. The Store Operations Specialist supports stores to deliver a world class operation for our customers. The key accountabilities are loss, safety, governance and model day processes across their region as well as leading new initiatives. Results are delivered through effective communication, by challenging stakeholders, developing capability and holding the tension to support stores and area managers to deliver the store operations support agenda. With the help of our subject matter experts within the support office, the team deliver strategy initiatives to achieve business objectives. They help to deliver Operations, Loss, Safety and Governance by focussing on what keeps our colleagues safe and legal as well as supporting new initiatives. SOS is a rewarding and dedicated team. Key Responsibilities Shares best practice and works cross functionally to drive robust standards and identify areas for improvement and education Works in partnership with other Stores Operations team members to respond appropriately to all incidents, accidents and loss & fraud investigations Undertakes investigations into internal and external losses within stores, including formal interviewing of colleagues and contractors Promotes a strong safety culture in stores offering guidance and expertise and ensures compliance to all legal and regulatory requirements Coaches stores to understand model day processes enabling delivery of a robust operational platform in stores. Acts as the conduit between stores and support office to influence the wider agenda Implements store projects with a collaborative mindset with store, area and regional teams and ensuring these are delivered on time and to the required standard Undertakes store audit validations, ensuring robust compliance and coaching stores to improve standards Provides guidance for the store audit process, ensuring compliance and driving capability to improve results What you’ll need to have Store Manager experience Demonstrates strong stakeholder management at regional level, both internally and externally Able to influence and build a strong partnering relationship with area teams to drive the SOS agenda Able to demonstrate strong analytical thinking that leads to effective identification of issues and ability to provide creative solutions Resilient and well organised, able to manage complex competing demands, multiple stakeholders and work with ambiguity A strong understanding of stores and operational activity – preferably with stores, support office or supply chain experience Ability to explain, simplify and communicate complex information in a clear and concise way Ability to work at pace and demonstrate agility now and in the future Great investigatory skills demonstrating strong interpersonal understanding Have the ability to be mobile across their region and support other regions when required IOSH Health & Safety and Wicklander investigation trained (full training will be provided) Our benefits Boots Retirement Savings Plan Discretionary annual bonus Generous employee discounts Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child Flexible benefits scheme including holiday buying, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and more.
