Job Opportunity: Management Accountant at Anglian Water
Salary: Circa £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience
Contract: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term starting early January 2025
Location: Hybrid working model based in Huntingdon or Peterborough, with occasional travel to Lancaster House, Huntingdon, or Thorpe Wood House, Peterborough

Join Our Team
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This role involves maintaining compliance with financial controls, escalating control issues, and communicating key financial messages across virtual finance teams within your designated business area.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering business planning and management accounting processes for your assigned areas of OPEX and CAPEX, driving process improvements, and engaging with stakeholders. You will manage budget areas of moderate complexity and size.
You will provide expert advice on processes, analysis, and statutory and regulatory reporting. Acting as the primary contact for Business Partners and the Management Accounting Manager, you will promote standardisation, automation, efficiency, compliance, and innovation.

Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Accountant or extensive equivalent experience
* Knowledge of modern management accounting techniques
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to adapt and challenge
* Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationship management
