What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit an
Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Team, with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £68,000, depending upon experience. This is a Monday to Sunday role, 12-hour day shifts, with potential night-based shifts in the future as the service continues to develop.
The
Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will work in collaboration with Registrars and consultants to provide direct patient care within a specialist surgical hospital and support the Advanced Practice Manager in delivering key performance targets. The role will be responsible for the delivery of care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services within at least one, but preferably multiple of the following surgical specialisms:
Neuro and Spine;
Digestive Disease;
Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic; or
Orthopaedic surgical populations.

The post holder will build and maintain excellent working relationships with other departments to ensure a seamless service. What will your duties include?
Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations, initiates appropriate lab, imaging tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data on new and former clinic patients and hospital admissions to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
Initiates and interprets, at least to the point of recognizing deviations from normal, common laboratory, imaging, and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes.
Performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, blood draws, designated IV starts, managing simple conditions produced by infection or trauma, assisting in the management of more complex illness and injury which may include assisting surgeons in conducting operations and taking initiative in performing evaluation and therapeutic procedures in response to life-threatening situations, as privileged by CCL Credentialing Committee.
Performs medication reconciliation and prescribes medication according to CCL policy, and within the independent prescribers scope of practice, as privileged by CCL Credentialing Committee
Performs specialized procedures following approval by CCL Credentialing Committee, such as biopsies, spinal taps, thoracentesis, paracentesis or other specific procedures.
What we need from you?
Current regulatory body registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council, with no restrictions to practice
required
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
required.
Master Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice from an accredited university
required.
Non Medical Prescriber, Including V300 course
required.
Immediate Life Support (ILS)
required.
Demonstrable broad clinical experience in at least one of listed surgical specialisms.
Has worked in an acute hospital setting, preferably also in the private sector.
