About the role
As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role within our Estimating team, collaborating closely with our Operations, Commercial, and Procurement teams to develop precise, competitive, and cost-effective estimates and budgets for our construction and engineering projects across West, East and Central Scotland. This position is based at our Head Office in Dalry.
Key roles and responsibilities include;
1. Prepares cost estimates on proposals, projects and studies and ensures that the content of the estimate is complete, accurate and meets the requirements of the estimate or project plan.
2. Plan, coordinate, review, verify and analyse all aspects of estimates and estimate presentation.
3. Helps in the maintenance of the Company estimating database. Coordinate and review the variable estimating factors in each area with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction.
4. Provides technical advice and assistance to the team in the preparation of all levels of estimates.
5. Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
6. Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accurate pricing.
