A great opportunity has arisen to join our Marketing Dept. as a Social Media and Events Co-ordinator. You would report into the Marketing and Communications Manager and would be working with the rest of the Marketing and Digital team in the implementation of the marketing and digital plans, campaigns and activities for VDS Ltd and VDS Training. The veterinary profession is a relatively small, tight-knit community and this role is critical in ensuring that the VDS is part of that community via the specific responsibilities for social media, partnerships, events and PR. This role is also responsible for creating and delivering effective, timely internal communications through a variety of channels. Key Responsibilities Primary duties include but not limited to: Support the Marketing and Communication Manager in the development of the VDS (including training and Support) social media and event strategy and plans in line with the VDS business plan. Once approved, responsible for the effective delivery of the plans and strategy to deliver the expected outcomes and results. With the Marketing Manager, Risk & Compliance and IT, ensure that VDS continues to move forwards with regards to customer data, ensuring that customers data is used to maximise value and relevance. Ensure social media and event spend is maximised through the development of a robust test and learn strategy, which evolves as business and wider needs change Support and leadership on wider business projects, as required Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are met Requirements needed for the Social Media and Events Coordinator It is essential you have previous experience, and ideally you will have: Marketing, PR, digital or communications qualification. Educated to degree level in a relevant subject. Excellent writing skills and an eye for design. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at multiple stakeholder levels. A proactive self-starter who is able to get on and deliver, maintaining a high standard of output. They must be accountable and able to work under pressure. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and a desire to create relationships built on trust and respect. Additional Desirable Skills Whilst desirable these are not a set requirement. Financial services experience CIM membership and/or qualification. Training or experience in Adobe Creative Suite products, such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator. What are we offering?
