Scotmas Group are seeking a Process Engineer.
The Process Engineer will design, implement and optimise ClO2 generator plans and processes for Scotmas Group.
They will be an integral part of the Technical team supported by a CAD Designer, Technical Executive and reporting into the Technical Manager. They are responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing resources, optimising current processes, and maintaining process documents with an overall objective to maintain the efficiency of production in order to reduce costs.

Responsibilities
* Assessing existing processes with the engineering and technical teams
* Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates
* Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems (on site and external locations)
* Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards
* Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues
* Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality
* Developing standardised operating instructions for the upgrades process
* Providing the Technical Manager with process documents and standard operating procedures
* Monitoring and reporting on system upgrades
* Working with other professionals to ensure processes are safe and do not have a detrimental effect on the environment
What about you?
* Educated to Degree level in a Chemical or Manufacturing Process subject
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Engineering role
* Good experience in process design, excellent technical skills, and high-level analytical skills
* Experience working with CAD and AutoCAD
* A strong interest or experience in science-based innovation to drive world beating products is desirable
* An entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for innovation and the desire to take responsibility in a small team is essential
* Comply with all company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Risk Assessed Method Statements at all times
* Report any accidents in the workplace to management immediately
* Positively contribute to implementing changes to improve quality, safety, efficiency and environmental sustainability of company operations
* Carry out tasks in an efficient manner, and understand and meet targets set
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives
* Exhibit company values of innovation, passion, integrity and openness in all dealings with colleagues, clients and suppliers
* Experience of devising, implementing and testing new strategies to help optimise productivity
Carry out any other task that may be required of you by your Line Manager where it is safe to do so and you are deemed competent and capable.
