What You Need to Know
Proserv is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager Renewables to join us. This pioneering role involves significant travel, meeting and presenting to customers, building relationships, gathering intelligence, and developing strategies to influence buying decisions. The goal is to break ground in the global marketplace and achieve rapid adoption and growth of our unique ECG condition monitoring services in offshore wind.
The role will be heavily engaged in developing business-to-business relationships with the engineering procurement construction contractors and OEMs in the offshore wind market. You will support the commercial team in bid preparation, setting and communicating market pricing, and supporting commercial negotiations. Additionally, the role will influence future strategic directions of our technology and new product development based on customer and market feedback.
You will ideally be based in the UK with the ability to work remotely and travel when required to our UK sites. We can also support applicants who are based outside of the UK, but you must be resident in a country where we have facilities.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
1. Lead and drive the promotion of Proserv’s ECG holistic cable monitoring system in the offshore wind sector, improving market awareness and market share.
2. Lead the development and growth by targeting key EPCI and cable OEM clients, scoping decision makers, influencers, and detractors, and converting opportunities into orders.
3. Establish and maintain relationships with development, engineering, operations, and procurement staff at EPCI and OEMs.
4. Work to establish and maintain strategic relationships within each customer account, articulating and leveraging Proserv’s ECG holistic cable monitoring value proposition.
5. Define tactical technical and commercial go-forward plans and strategies to influence the adoption and growth of ECG in the offshore wind sector.
6. Assist in generating, maintaining, and delivering the sales and marketing strategy, plans, and budgets in accordance with the overall Proserv and Renewables strategy.
7. Ensure opportunity pipeline coverage is adequate to meet the revenue goals of the business.
8. Represent the business as necessary at client meetings, technical seminars, and contribute to various sales events, exhibitions, presentations, and literature.
9. Contribute to the preparation and compilation of the technical and commercial content of documents relating to pre-qualifications, quotations, and tenders.
10. Compile customer visit reports and business development reports on a regular basis.
11. Maintain CRM system in line with Proserv requirements.
12. Monitor and report on competitor and operator activities.
13. Maintain processes to identify market potential, prospects, and leads for growth in sales revenue.
14. Identify market areas to build niche solutions.
15. Perform line management activities for the Renewables Business Stream in the absence of the Business Development Director – Renewables.
16. Ensure the industry is aware of Proserv’s renewables capabilities.

Essential:
1. Proven track record in a similar role in a business-to-business environment.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to develop, maintain, and communicate strategic sales growth plans.
4. Ability to articulate complex value propositions effectively.
5. Strong negotiating skills.
6. Ability to support and interface with people at all levels.
Preferred:
1. Experience in subsea cables system products.
2. Experience with distributed sensing systems.
3. Mature network with existing and potential clients in the UK and Europe.
