Job Support Role in Endocrine and Sarcoma Cancer Care
Are you committed to providing support and advice to patients with endocrine or sarcoma cancer? Do you possess exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a caring and sensitive attitude? If so, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to support patient care and improve outcomes.
This position involves close collaboration with local care providers, services, and sectors to deliver a holistic and personalised approach to patient support. Responsibilities include navigating and coordinating surgical and supportive care, signposting patients to specialist resources, and ensuring they receive optimal care and support.
The role is based primarily on Monday to Friday hours, with occasional requirements for late and weekend work. It involves supporting the Endocrine and Sarcoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Team at Royal Hallamshire and Weston Park Hospital, providing an additional contact point for patients and their families, and facilitating seamless care along the cancer pathway.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team and autonomously, prioritising workload and collaborating closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to deliver high-quality services. This is a fixed-term 12-month contract, funded externally, with potential review based on ongoing funding.
We value and respect our staff and community, offering excellent benefits, professional development opportunities, and policies supporting work-life balance. The team aims to ensure every patient receives timely investigation, diagnosis, and treatment, providing holistic clinical, social, and emotional support to patients and families.
