Department overview: The Tax Team are led by the Tax Director who reports directly into the group’s CFO and leads a high profile tax function based in the Flutter Group’s offices in London, Dublin, Leeds and the Isle of Man. The Group operates in a wide number of international locations. We work closely with the business to lead the Group’s tax affairs. This plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and optimising tax processes through advanced technological solutions. Role Overview/Purpose: This role will be primarily responsible for assisting the Tax Technology team manage one of the core finance systems used in the group, Oracle EPM. As part of your role, you will work closely with teams across Group Finance, the EPM finance team, Compliance & Reporting tax team, and other key collaborators in the business such as members of the IT and data teams, as well as Finance teams in the Group’s overseas jurisdictions. Specific Responsibilities: Act as main tax contact for Oracle EPM. Work with the Head of Tax technology to define and deliver a specific roadmap aligned to TRCs to deliver a best-in-class tax reporting solution. Manage multiple projects which will include dealing with system changes across EPM, including defining requirements, testing, configuration, and handling data. Work with the compliance and reporting team to define tax requirements and updates need for TRCs and across EPM. Be key support foto the team over interim reporting periods, year end reporting, and other similar reporting i.e. CbCR, BEPs. Promoting and developing tax use cases across the full EPM suit of apps to deliver more tax automation. Stay updated on the latest tax regulations and technology trends to ensure the company remains compliant and driven. Continue to develop skills in areas relevant for the tax technology team such as AI, Data science, RPA and Machine Learning. Assist in the development and implementation of tax technology solutions with the rest of the tax technology team. Provide training and support to team members on EPM and TRCs. Education, Qualifications and Experience: Qualified accountant and/or Chartered Tax Advisor Experience in a similar role in house or big 4 advisory firm Experience in the use of Pyton/Java Use of low code tools such as Alteryx or UI Path would be preferential but not essential Understanding of general accounting principles and good commercial awareness essential Behavioural competencies: Collaborates - Is a great teammate and works with others across the business to get things done Communicates Effectively - Communicate effectively across a range of channels and non finance audiences Nimble Learning - Is agile and flexible.
