Job Type/Shift Patterns: Full-time, Monday to Friday, either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, totalling 37.5 working hours per week. (This role offers Hybrid flexibility of 2 Days Work from Office where 1 of which must be Thursday and 3 Days Work from Home)
Pay Rate: £21.80/Hr.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Senior Analyst will provide in-depth, specialist information, reports and recommendations by analysing highly complex, multi-stranded data to support and direct senior management in their decision-making processes. The post holder will participate in the development of databases, reports and systems using a variety of methods and software tools. They will play a full part in the team approach to providing information that is accurate and complete, within agreed timescales, to meet internal and external requirements. The post holder will be proficient in SQL server and Tableau.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Continue the development of the SQL Data Warehouse and BI solutions. Participate in the development, maintenance and refinement of BI reports and cubes (Excel, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Tableau) to analyse and present highly complex and specialised information to the Trust.
* Generate, manipulate and formulate data into clear, concise reports adjusted to the needs of the recipient, from highly complex to simple reports.
* Work within the full development life cycle to plan, test, and implement BI solutions, ensuring source and version control is maintained and that all solutions have high-quality documentation.
* Lead on own development projects, from inception to conclusion, including liaising with customers and team members.
* Create, validate, maintain, and provide new information products/systems from a new PAS (Patient Administration System) or major system peripheral to PAS, liaising with software suppliers to ensure accuracy.
* Ensure all procedural documentation is reviewed and updated regularly and includes version control.
* Liaise with external software suppliers to integrate new features/updates into existing reporting systems.
* Handle sensitive and personal information in compliance with the department’s data confidentiality obligations (e.g. Information Governance, General Data Protection Regulation, Caldicott Guidelines).
* Produce high-level strategic and performance analysis necessary to meet the delivery of national and local monitoring requirements in line with relevant NHS guidance and the delivery of modernised, evidence-based services throughout the organisation.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
* In-depth experience with SQL and Data Warehousing.
* Proven experience with the implementation of BI solutions.
* Experience using the BI Stacks (Excel, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Tableau).
* Experience generating complex reports with the help of Business Intelligence tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This role may require you to show evidence of a Diploma or ECDL or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
