Credit Controller and Accounts Assistant
Do you have an understanding of how to manage the debtors of the business and resolve member queries regarding payments?
Do you have comprehension of how to carry additional accounting duties as required such as bank reconciliations, month-end reconciliations, and purchase ledger processing?
Do you have the ability to provide an efficient and effective service to departments within the NPA, to members, and to suppliers?

The role
* To carry out the collection of outstanding debts and accurate allocation of payments
* To support the delivery of the maintenance of the sales ledger including the investigation of debtor queries and processing of refunds as necessary
* To support the process of the daily reconciliation of bank account(s) and monthly nominal ledger reconciliations
* To contribute to checking and processing invoices, credit notes, and staff/board expenses
Key facts:
Hybrid-working pattern: Home working blended with at least 1 day per week working at the NPA's Head Office, just outside of London.
Availability: Immediate or very short notice
The candidate
Your key attributes:
* Ability to ensure invoices are authorised in a timely manner to ensure supplier payment terms are met
* Capacity to process payments of authorised invoices
* Capability of other duties such as month-end nominal ledger reconciliations
* Competence in working on ad hoc projects as required
* Knowledge of purchase ledger/sales ledger processing
* Understanding of general accounting procedures and practices in an accounting environment
* Proficiency in working to deadlines and prioritising tasks
* Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, and skilled at adjusting communication style to suit the audience
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
