ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking an enthusiastic World of Work Tutor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons that help students understand the realities of the workplace, develop essential employability skills, and prepare for successful careers. Your expertise and guidance will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our learners. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and deliver comprehensive lessons on various aspects of the workplace, including job search strategies, resume writing, interview techniques, and professional behaviour. Provide individualised support and feedback to students, helping them to identify and achieve their career goals. Collaborate with internal Teaching and Support staff and industry professionals to create a relevant and up-to-date curriculum. Organise workshops, seminars, and other interactive learning activities that simulate real-world work scenarios. Secure suitable work placement for students. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the program remains relevant and effective. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed. Liaise with Parents and Employers regarding attendance and progress of learners. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Qualifications / Experience: Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications Proven experience in teaching, training, or career counselling, preferably in a higher education or vocational setting. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
