Job Description As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful costing and financial planning of projects, tenders, and bids. Working closely with the Senior Account Manager and the wider Commercial team, the Estimator will be responsible for delivering precise cost estimates, including material costs, manufacturing time, labour, and overheads. This role is crucial for winning business, managing risk, and supporting profitability. Estimator duties include but are not limited to: Reviewing customer specifications to assess feasibility and risk. Preparing accurate cost estimates, ensuring they align with company profitability targets. Developing pricing strategies in collaboration with the Senior Account Manager. Working with Engineering and Production teams to refine estimates. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and integrity. Monitoring and refining past project costs for future accuracy. Communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders. Skills & Experience To be successful as an Estimator, you should have: Previous experience as an Estimator or in a similar sales engineering role within fabrication or machining. A strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant IT tools.
