You will work around a team of 13 consultants, 5-6 Specialist Registrars, 5 fellow Grade and 1 FY1 based in Southampton General Hospital and RSH. We have a close relationship with Salisbury and Winchester hospitals to support each others on call. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of inpatients/ emergencies and will undertake clinical work in the Outpatient Department and in the operating theatre under the supervision of more senior staff. In addition, you will participate in the multi-disciplinary educational and audit programmes of the Unit. The department has close university links and abundant opportunities for research. Flexible working is available to exploit these. WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR FRCS (ORL) or equivalent CCT (ORL) and GMC will be required for this post.Certification or instructor status in ATLS and ALS, Previous experience of working in the NHS.
