A fantastic short-term opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business based on the Isle of Wight. The company has a workforce of 91 and an annual turnover of £22 million. This temporary role is to support the Accounts team during a crucial handover period and would suit someone who can confidently step into a fast-paced, hands-on role. This is a key support position, offered on a 6-week temporary basis, providing cover until a permanent hire is in place. You will work as part of a friendly team of four and report directly to the Financial Controller. What will the Finance Assistant role involve? Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Handling Cashbook transactions. Using Syspro to manage finance data and entries. Assisting with day-to-day finance administration during a short but essential handover period. Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy: Prior experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cashbook duties. Comfortable using finance systems, ideally Syspro or similar. Available immediately and able to commit for the full duration of the contract. Quick to learn and able to work independently after a short handover.
