Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Liverpool City Council's Safeguarding Team. This is a full time role offering £42 per hour.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct assessments of children and families to identify risks and safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
2. Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection (CP) plans, Child in Need (CIN) plans, and Public Law Outline (PLO) processes, ensuring timely decision-making and support.
3. Undertake Section 47 child protection investigations in collaboration with police, health professionals, and other agencies to safeguard children at risk of harm.
4. Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including strategy discussions, child protection conferences, legal planning meetings, and court proceedings.
5. Develop and implement child-focused care plans, working closely with families to promote positive changes and improve outcomes for children.
6. Provide direct work with children to gather their views, wishes, and feelings, ensuring their voices are central to assessments and planning.
7. Complete high-quality reports for court proceedings, child protection conferences, and other formal processes, ensuring accurate and evidence-based recommendations.
8. Work collaboratively with partner agencies such as education, health, and housing services to provide holistic support to families and ensure children's needs are met.
9. Ensure timely and accurate recording of case notes, assessments, and decisions in line with statutory requirements and organisational policies.
10. Provide crisis intervention and support to families experiencing significant challenges, ensuring swift and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.
Requirements:
1. Social Work Degree or equivalent
2. Current registration with Social Work England
3. Enhanced DBS
