ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsibility for management accounting, forecasting, commercial analysis, and decision support relating to the Retail division.
Working closely with the Commercial Directors, Procurement teams, and Head of Finance to maximise the commercial opportunities and identify risks and opportunities within the region.
They offer hybrid working - 3 days in the office - anchor days Tues/Wed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Proactive Finance Business Partner providing support, challenge, and insight to the commercial teams.
2. Deliver timely, accurate & relevant financial information & analysis to key stakeholders including:
1. Monthly and quarterly forecasts.
2. Variance analysis & bridge statements.
3. Ad-hoc analysis to drive business performance.
3. Consignment reconciliation & margin management, analysis, and challenge.
4. Present & explain commercial department performance at Weekly Trading Board meetings.
5. Identify risks and opportunities to enable delivery of the targets.
6. Develop, rigorously challenge, and question the budget/forecast assumptions and KPIs.
7. Provision of the Monthly Review Packs & commentary.
8. Identify and explain business performance variances and recommendations for improvements.
9. Royalty & rebate calculations & returns.
10. Assess foreign currency requirements and produce forward purchase proposals.
11. Maintain strong financial controls across all areas.
12. Support the Head of Finance as required through analysis and project activity.

3. Liaise with internal and external auditors.
4. Ensure tasks are evidenced and saved in accordance with delegation of authority matrix in a timely manner.

EXPERIENCE / ABOUT YOU
1. Management accounting or financial analysis in an FMCG, manufacturing or traded commodity environment.
2. Experience of working closely with & influencing non-finance managers & commercial teams.
3. Flexible team player who can help change behaviour both by compelling nature of analysis and by working closely with colleagues to drive improvements.
4. Demonstrates a sense of personal ownership, is results driven and has a ‘can do’ attitude.
5. Enthusiasm and tenacity to strive for continuous improvement.
