About The Role
If you’re looking for a varied and flexible role which helps us to reach and support more people affected by dementia than ever before, look no further!
You’ll volunteer with our Fundraising teams to raise awareness in your local community and assist our supporters to raise funds. You’ll help us to identify potential new supporters, build brand awareness, and inspire people in your local area to know more about dementia. By being one of our Ambassadors, you’ll put your passion for making a difference into action by engaging with our supporters in a variety of ways such as attending events or cheque presentations and helping with bucket collections.
Do you like working with the community? Do you like helping others and making a difference? Can you spare a few hours now and then or more regularly? We need your support on the ground here in the North East.
We require volunteers to help us attend events, collections, cheque presentations, and information stands. We need people to help us drum up support for our cause in the community, help us raise vital funds and awareness, and reach local people who need our support. This is a role that we can fit around you and your interests.
So many people are affected by dementia, and we are here to provide help and hope to everyone affected in the North East. Our front line services are at the heart of what we do, providing help to people in our communities and online. We also fund research and campaign for change in dementia care and support.
But we need your help to fundraise to be able to provide these services by supporting amazing individuals, businesses, and groups who fundraise for us. Come join the team, meet new friends, and help us fight dementia.
You’ll be great for the role if:
* You are passionate about making a difference in your local community and to the lives of people affected by dementia.
* You have experience of or an interest in fundraising and raising awareness.
* You have good communication skills and enjoy engaging with people.
* You are self-motivated, organised, and confident to volunteer independently.
* You are over the age of 16.
