We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in Hebburn! As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to support effective decision-making across the organisation.

Responsibilities:
* Assist the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Finance Manager (FM) in maintaining effective financial controls and systems.
* Reviewing and maintaining operational processes and procedures.
* Implementation of new systems and processes in line with statutory requirements and group policy.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement approach across the full range of finance processes and capabilities.
* Ensuring accurate financial records are maintained in line with legislative and Group Accounting Policy.
* Prepare the monthly management account information to trial balance level for areas of responsibility.
* Preparing and posting month end journals.
* Preparation and reporting of reporting pack; including delivery of management information for external and Group reporting requirements.
* Manage Government reporting for VAT, EC Sales, Nova and Inward Process in a timely manner.
* Support the year end statutory audit process, including preparation of reconciliations, collating evidence and documentation as well as liaising with auditors to resolve audit queries.
* Analyse project expenditure and communicate this to project managers.
* Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast setting process.
* Collaborate with managers in setting standard costs for manufactured goods including material unit and hourly operating costs.
* Collaborate with senior managers and heads of department to provide support and advice on a range of financial, non-financial and performance areas.
* Preparation of targeted financial and commercial analysis, along with KPI dashboard development.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Qualified with CIMA or qualified by experience.
* Minimum 3 years’ previous experience in a similar, reporting management accountant role.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Previous experience in budgeting, forecasting and costings, analysis and insight and investment appraisal and evaluation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with all stakeholders.
* Excellent IT skills, proficient with applications such as MS Office, design software and social media platforms.
* Excellent time management skills, be a forward thinker with the capability to plan ahead in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues that may arise.
