What you’ll be doing
1. Provisioning and Deployment: Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls to support IP Transport Lab infrastructure.
2. Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and security incidents.
3. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance and security, implementing necessary updates and patches.
4. Operational Support: Provide ongoing operational support, ensuring network stability and performance. This includes managing network changes, performing routine maintenance, and responding to incidents.
5. Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with design teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure network reliability and efficiency.
7. Security Implementation: Implement and manage security protocols to protect the network from potential threats.
8. Leadership and Strategy: Shape and deliver the team's strategy to achieve the unit's goals and develop and motivate team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
What you'll bring
MANDATORY
9. Extensive experience in IP Transport technologies and protocols.
10. Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 7000,9000 series, Nokia's SR 7750 IPsec GW framework, Cisco ASR 1001 and IP MPLS.
11. Proficiency with. Nokia's SR 7750 IPsec GW framework.
12. Expertise in IP MPLS/VPN and related services, including architecture, label distribution, traffic engineering, and MPLS-based VPN implementation.
13. Experience in diagnosing and resolving network issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and security incidents.
14. Knowledge and experience in mobile backhaul.
PREFERRED
15. Knowledge of firewall technologies, with hands-on experience in Checkpoint and Fortinet.
16. Familiarity with automation tools and practices.
17. Experience with Junos OS.
18. Knowledge of F5 BIG-IP, Load balancer.
19. Strong analytical skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques, and communicating this to business audiences.
20. Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and its security and network access control features.
21. Security and Network Access Control: Understanding of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and its features.
22. Certifications include NRS2 (Nokia Network Routing Specialist II), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), and CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
