Purpose of Role
We are recruiting for an experienced AutoCAD Technician to support the process of handing back multiple PFI contracts in the next decade.
Job Description
We have a responsibility to ensure that each of our PFI contracts are ready for handover well in advance of the contract ending. A number of our education PFI’s are due to expire in the next decade and as part of our handover process the AutoCAD Technician will be responsible for investigating the state of our CAD documentation. They will collaborate with various stakeholders across multiple locations to collate missing information and then create/produce a range of high-quality CAD drawings, logging all the relevant changes that might not have been updated in real-time to ensure a world-class database. It’s important that you have a meticulous attention to detail and that you’re confident working with a constant volume of work.
Responsibilities
•Preparation of drawings from Engineers' sketches, PDF’s, and using CAD software.
•Producing plans, elevations, technical details and building layouts
•Updating of existing drawings from various sources, into CAD, to form “As Built” arrangements.
•Interrogation of CAD and BIM models.
•Producing drawings in 2D and 3D.
•Contributing to BIM models.
•Work with architects, engineers, building services and other construction workers in producing plans and drawings.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
•Proven experience using AutoCAD software.
•Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and standards.
•A good understanding of BIM
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
•UK Driver’s License (no more than 6 points)
